“My City, My Home, My Street” – Young People Present Their Vision of the Community Through Art

On 11 June 2026, an art workshop titled “My City, My Home, My Street” was held at the Mitrovica Art Residency, bringing together young people from the local community to express their views on the city, shared public spaces, and the changes they would like to see in their environment through art.

Inspired by their surroundings and the spaces they use every day, participants, following a short walk through the city, created drawings and artworks reflecting their ideas, perceptions of the local community, and proposals for improving the places where they live.

Through an informal and creative atmosphere, young people had the opportunity to discuss the importance of shared spaces, the sense of belonging to a community, and the role they can play in creating positive change. The artworks produced during the workshop reflected diverse perspectives while highlighting a common desire for a more organized, open, and welcoming environment.

The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Aqvarius Cultural Center as part of a project implemented by ACDC with the support of ATRC.
