NGO ACDC marked 10 years of its existence
On December 16th, 2021, the NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC) hosted a celebration to mark ten years since its establishment and continuous work on advocacy and promotion of the effective rule of law and democratic values with the aim to advocate changes for a better society.
On December 16th, 2021, the NGO Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC) hosted a celebration to mark ten years since its establishment and continuous work on advocacy and promotion of the effective rule of law and democratic values with the aim to advocate changes for a better society.
The celebration of this solemn jubilee was attended by numerous representatives of institutions and organizations, civil society, associates, and friends of the organization.
In his address, the executive director of the ACDC, Dušan Radaković, said that the tenth birthday is only the beginning and motivation for better and more dedicated work, for what he says is a better future for all of us.
"Behind us are 99 implemented projects, many meetings, over 50 signed memoranda with local and central institutions and international organizations. We have been cooperating with you all these years, and I hope that we will cooperate for many more years. These ten years are our crown. Thank you for being able to do something positive. Thank you for being there for us so that we can be there for our citizens. Our goal is to help the citizens, and on the other hand, to help the institutions," said Radaković, promising that the organization he leads will work even harder in the coming period. Radakovic also announced that ACDC will open offices in Belgrade and Pristina on January 15th, adding that he hopes that the regional approach will be even better.
One of the attendees, The Deputy Mayor of North Mitrovica, Adrijana Hodžić, said that she believes that the society cannot be democratic if there is no civil sector in it, and added that the cooperation of the local self-government with the civil sector has given extremely good results.
A video about the ten-year work of the Center, activities, and successfully realized projects was shown at the celebration.
The video begins with a brief introduction to the work and vision of ACDC, followed by photographs from various activities taken over the past decade that testify to the successes and achievements of our organization. The video features the executive director, Dušan Radaković, who thanked everyone who contributed to the development and success of ACDC, as well as our partners and colleagues who commented on their experience in working with our organization and wished us all the best.
