“Silence Is Not the Answer” Exhibition Held in North Mitrovica

On Wednesday, July 23rd, the exhibition “Silence Is Not the Answer” by artist Jelena Milićević was held at PKC Akvarijus in North Mitrovica. Through powerful portraits and artistic expression, the exhibition sheds light on issues of violence, social injustice, and the role of art as a voice of resistance against silence and indifference.

“Silence can be comfortable, but art is here to remind us that change is necessary and possible,” said the artist.

Inspired by the stories of those who have survived violence, the artist uses a combination of portrait painting, advocacy, and activism to call for awareness, empathy, humanity, dialogue, and contribution to building a community free from violence.
