Youth Voices for a Greener North Mitrovica

At the “Youth Voices for a Greener North Mitrovica” conference, held at the EU House, young people presented the findings from their recent climate walk through the city. By visiting different locations, they identified issues related to waste management, green areas and underused public spaces.

Young participants presented three concrete proposals for improving the local environment and public spaces. The proposals will be formally submitted to the municipality so that young people’s ideas can become part of the dialogue on the city’s future development.

The proposed solutions include a green adventure park beside the Ibar River, waste separation containers and a solar-powered youth corner. These ideas represent practical steps towards a cleaner, greener and more youth-friendly city.

The Youth Conference, organised by the Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC), is part of Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW), contributing to cooperation around sustainable development priorities in Kosovo.
