Resolve the case of theft of the security cable on Via Ferrata Berim as soon as possible and ensure the safety of citizens and property

We strongly condemn the theft of the security cable and the destruction of Via Ferrata Berim, which is the most attractive tourist site in northern Kosovo. We call on the Zubin Potok Police Station and the Kosovo Police for the North Region to find the perpetrators as soon as possible and contribute to the efficient clarification of this case.

We call on the Kosovo Police to show responsibility and efficiency in all other cases of endangering security and destroying property in public spaces, such as destroying the path in Mali ZveÄan, the stairs in Zubin Potok, and all other crimes.

We expect the representatives of the municipality of Zubin Potok to condemn such behavior and, in accordance with their competencies, engage in clarifying this case, bearing in mind that tourism is also recognized in the strategic documents of this municipality.

Via Ferrata Berim has become a recognizable tourist brand in the north of Kosovo, and this attraction was reported by numerous domestic and foreign media, putting this area on the tourist map of the Balkans and the whole world. We support the Institute for Territorial and Economic Development (InTER) and the Outdoor In initiative in their further work and call on them not to give up on the development and promotion of tourism in Kosovo.
