Three-Day Seminar on Combating Sexual Harassment and Gender-Based Violence
From 28 to 30 January 2026, the non-governmental organization ACDC organized a three-day seminar on combating sexual harassment and gender-based violence, within the framework of the project “Breaking the Silence”, implemented with the financial support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
The seminar brought together representatives of the Prosecution Office and the Basic Court in Mitrovica, with the aim of improving coordination and strengthening the institutional response in the prosecution of cases of sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
The event was facilitated by Habit Hajredini, Director of the Office for Good Governance, in the role of trainer, who worked with participants throughout the three-day working sessions on analyzing the legislative framework, judicial and prosecutorial practice, as well as the key challenges in identifying and prosecuting these forms of violence. Special attention was given to reporting mechanisms, victim protection, and the role of institutions in ensuring a timely and adequate response.
