The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is celebrated every year on March 21. In 1966, The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed this day as a national holiday, calling on communities around the world to redouble their efforts to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination. Racism stems from attitudes of cultural superiority and the expression of intolerance towards people of other races, who differ from us by skin color or some other characteristic of their external appearance. Therefore, it is crucial to raise awareness on how to recognize different forms of intolerance in order to improve the protection of individuals or groups who belong to a different race, have a different skin color, or have a different ethnicity or national origin.

Consequently, on this March 21, we urge everyone to be tolerant and understanding towards others who are different and to continue the struggle to build a society in which the spirit of community and unity guarantees respect for the dignity of every human being.
