Within the research component of the project, key problems on the ground have been identified:
- more than 130 critical pollution points
- 36 illegal dumpsites
- 65 direct discharges into rivers
- 20 barriers in watercourses
- 10 sand extraction sites
These findings clearly indicate the need for concrete local solutions.
Eligibility criteria:
- young people aged 18–30
- from the following municipalities:
- North and South Mitrovica
- Zvečan
- Zubin Potok
- Leposavić
Applications can be submitted individually or as an informal group.
What kind of initiatives do we support?
We are looking for ideas that contribute to:
- reducing river pollution
- raising awareness in the community
- protecting natural resources
- activating local communities
- innovative and sustainable solutions
Selected initiatives will receive:
- financial and mentoring support
- support in implementing their idea
- visibility through the project’s media campaign
- an opportunity to directly contribute to environmental protection
