PUBLIC CALL FOR YOUNG ARTISTS AND RESEARCHERS

Project: “Youth from the North in Dialogue with Cultural Heritage – Research and Creative Interpretation of Velika Hoča”

The non-governmental organization Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC) from North Mitrovica announces a public call for young artists, students, and researchers in the fields of art, history, and cultural heritage, aged 18 to 35, who wish to take part in an art colony and research program dedicated to the cultural heritage of Velika Hoča.

The goal of this program is to provide young people from northern Kosovo with the opportunity to learn about and creatively interpret the cultural and historical heritage of Velika Hoča, one of the most significant cultural localities in Kosovo. The project combines art, research, and education, promoting dialogue, creativity, and the preservation of cultural identity.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to:

• take part in the art colony in Velika Hoča,

• work with experts in the field of art and cultural heritage,

• develop their own artworks inspired by research,

• participate in the final exhibition and conference in North Mitrovica,

• gain new professional contacts.

Who can apply

The call is open to:

• young artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, visual artists);

• students of art, history, culture, and related disciplines;

• young researchers and creatives interested in cultural heritage.

Applications from young people from non-majority communities in northern Kosovo are especially encouraged.

Application deadline
Applications are open until November 1, 2025.

How to apply

Interested candidates should submit:

• A short biography (up to 1 page);

• A motivation letter (up to 300 words);
