Direct Dialogue Between Citizens and Institutions on License Plates, Documents, and Registration Held in North Mitrovica

North Mitrovica, April 24, 2026 – The non-governmental organization Advocacy Center for Democratic Culture (ACDC) organized a public discussion where citizens had the opportunity to speak directly with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police, and other relevant institutions regarding the implementation of the Law on Vehicles, the use of vehicles with foreign license plates, civil registration, and obtaining personal documents.

During the discussion, issues related to administrative challenges faced by citizens in practice were also raised, including inconsistent implementation of procedures, additional documentation requirements, application deadlines, as well as the need for clearer information and more efficient communication between institutions and citizens.

The discussion was organized within the project “Building Trust and Accountability through Human Rights Dialogue,” which aims to strengthen trust between citizens and institutions, improve the protection of human rights, and increase citizen participation in decision-making processes.
