The goal of the project is to empower young people in North Mitrovica to actively participate in the protection of water resources and the environment through education, practical actions, and creative initiatives. The project combines learning, activism, and art to raise public awareness and promote sustainable community practices.
Activities include:
Clean-up initiatives along the Ibar River and open-air lectures on water and environmental protection
Creation of a public sculpture from collected waste in collaboration with local artists
A youth-led awareness campaign on water and environmental protection
Repair of public drinking water fountains in North Mitrovica to improve access to clean water
Together, these activities aim to inspire and empower youth to take concrete steps toward sustainability and contribute to lasting positive change within their community.
Held under the Kosovo Sustainable Development Week (KSDW) and implemented by NGO ACDC, with the support of GIZ.
